John Henry "Ralph" Mewborn, 73, of New Bern passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Viewing hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.
His service is Noon Sunday, May 15, 2022 at St. Phillips Disciples of Christ Church 1021 Pollock St. The interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson Mewborn of the home; daughters, Terri Andrews of Raleigh, Katrina Minor of Raleigh; son of the heart, Anduan Minor of New Bern; brothers, Johnnie Mewborn and David Mewborn of New Bern, Roy, Mewborn, Thomas Mewborn of Newark, NJ, Elijah Mewborn and James Mewborn of Charlotte, NC, Larry Mewborn of Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Hester Mewborn McPhaul and Angela Mewborn both of New Bern, Donna Flowers of Youngstown, OH; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

I'm truly missing you today. My first birthday without hearing your voice..My heart is so heavy day to day. Everyday I try to grasp the reality you are no longer here in the natural. My only strength and peace I gain is knowing that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal.. With all my love I miss you dearly.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Most any conversation with Mr. Mewborn was sure to elicit a smile and a laugh. His neighbors, the Jones family.
Uncle Ralph you will ALWAYS be missed, in our hearts, and never forgotten. I love you dearly. Until we meet again rest easy Ralph.
