Jonathan Matthews, 90 passed Sunday, June 1, 2025, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Funeral service pending at St. Matthew COC DOC Church 175 West Fisher Avenue Riverdale Community, New Bern.
The interment will follow at St. Matthew Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, June 11, 2025 thru Friday June 13, 2025, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at 3008 Madison Avenue, New Bern, NC.
He is survived by his daughter, Jonee' Elois Matthews Milliken and son-in-law, Ulysses “Tony” Milliken, Jr., New Bern, NC; grandson, Ulysses Jovon Milliken, III and wife, Shamika; granddaughter, Jewel Unique Milliken; great grandchildren, Ulysses Jaydon Milliken, IV and Saniya Lanea Milliken all of Raleigh, NC.

His brother Richard and family always spoke well about Jonathan. I too was a customer at Unique's Florist Shop where Jonathan served me kindly.
