When I was pastoring Saint John Missionary Baptist Church a few years ago, The Lord granted me the privilege to serve Him alongside some dedicated, anointed and powerful Christians. Among those ambassadors, apostles, bishops and disciples was a reincarnation of Peter the Apostle named Julia Lewis Wesley. A friend of mine. A friend who was closer than a brother. A city set on a hill. A lamp on a candlestand. Julia was passionate about bringing souls to Christ.

As we talked by phone over the past few years, she never forgot to ask me to tell my children "She loved them," and to pray for POP, her son. She never forgot to mention how thankful she was for the help, visits, love and attention she often received from Bay Bay and "the girls."

So, to Julia's family and friends, don't worry about her soul because She has fought a good fight. She has preached the Gospel. She has kept the faith. She has finished the race...now she has received her Crown of Righteousness that God had laid up for her, but not only for her but for all who love the Lord and one another. May God bless Julia's family and friends and give them peace! I love you all! I really, really do! Amen

My Condolences to Eric and the Family of Our Dear Friend, Whom We Called Mother Julia

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her son, Eric, and the entire family of our dear friend, whom we lovingly called Mother Julia.

We have known Mother Julia since we were teenagers. She was always a woman of faith, integrity, and compassion. She loved people and showed that love not only through her words but through her actions. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, especially the homeless and the hurting.

As a military wife, while my husband was away at war, Mother Julia would travel to upstate New York by bus and then drive my car with my children and me all the way to North Carolina so that I could fulfill my calling in ministry and conduct revival services. As a young minister at the time, I will never forget her willingness to drive fifteen hours for the work of the Kingdom. She never complained, because serving God and helping others was simply who she was.

Through the years, we stayed in touch, and she continued to be faithful in Kingdom work. Mother Julia was truly a blessing to her community and allowed her light to shine throughout South Carolina. She touched countless lives and never expected anything in return because she knew that one day she would receive her crown of righteousness from the Lord, the righteous Judge.

Mother Julia, take your rest. You have fought a good fight, finished your course, and kept the faith.

To her son, Eric, and the entire family, be encouraged. All is well. May God strengthen and comfort you during the days ahead, and please know that you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

With love and deepest sympathy,
