Keith Andrew Silver, 62, passed away at home surrounded by his family, on Friday, May 12th, 2023.
Keith was born on October 9th, 1960, in High Point, NC to the late Donald and Marion "Kay" Silver. He was the youngest of three brothers and had one younger sister. He graduated from Northwood University, married Victoria Fox, and had one son, James Andrew Silver.
Keith fought a long bout with Multiple Sclerosis. His favorite quote, "Laughter is the elixir of life.", was something he lived by. Even during the most tumultuous of times, he had a penchant for making people laugh and smile. In a way, he conquered MS. He seldom complained, remained fearless, and marched through his progression in a dignified and stoic manner.
Keith was an avid adventure seeker and he chased life with a tenacity that few ever dreamed of. He was an expert skier and driver. It will forever be a mystery as to whether his 0-60 mph time was quicker in one of his Ferraris, or while he was on a set of skis. All those who spent time with him were amazed by his generosity and kindness. Whether you knew him for a day, or were a life-long friend, it was his ultimate goal to make everyone around him happy. He will be forever missed and will always remain an exemplary role-model for what it means to face life's hardships with a smile and a laugh.
Keith is survived by his son, James Silver and fiancé, Macy Quidley, and siblings, Mark Silver, Arthur Silver, and Anne Griggs, alongside numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at New Bern Memorial Cemetery on 1112 Chelsea Rd, New Bern, NC on Sunday, May 21st at 2:00 pm. There will be a reception to follow at his son's house.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
