Kenyatta, Kenyatta, Kenyatta.... Oh how I will miss your morning texts, our weekly prayer calls, and your voice saying, "Welcome to the call" (in your friendly, southern drawl)😊. You were the epitome of Love & Forgiveness. I thank God Almighty for our time together and will continue to cherish all of our time spent together. I will forever be grateful for our Sisters Spiritual Retreat in January... it was EVERYTHING that we needed and then some. God allowed us to Love on one another and walk in His Freedom......,you ARE truly FREE now. Thanking God for your relationship with Him and your peaceful sleep. I had the pleasure of meeting your beloved Kenyatta at our Sisters Inspiring Sisters Retreat. We prayed, laughed, cried, and prayed some more. Our weekend together was predestined, and I can now say I met one of God's angel, Kenyatta. Just from the few days I was in her present, I knew she had a warm, kind, supportive and discern spirit and did not mind sharing the gospel with anyone she met. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." May Kenyatta's light and love for Christ be lit and shared forever through the vessels of family and friends.

So sorry to hear of the loss of my dear sis Kenyatta Slade.She is the epitome of a genuine woman of God that demonstrated genuine love to do many. That big smile I will carry in my heart. The last time I saw her she gave me the biggest hug. Heaven gained a true soldier. We love you but God loved you more. I will see you in the morning. My prayers are with the Slade family. Kenyatta has not been lost because anything that is lost we dont know where it is, I'm a co worker when we worked at Kennedy Homes in Kinston and we had a wonderful time there. Such a kind and funny woman. I've also had the opportunity and pleasure of fellowshipping with Bishop Slade. From the Hope of Glory Church family we will see you in the morning.

I met Kenyatta through her father Bishop Slade. There was an instant connection from the start. I was sadden to hear of her passing. Our loss is heaven's gain! To the family, my thoughts and prayers are with Bishop Slade and the family. Annette Ellison.
