He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Brown Ross, Havelock,NC and Christine Gilbert, Burton,SC; three sons, James Brown, Atlanta,GA, Lucius Brown III, South Carolina and Kevin E. Brown, Jacksonville,NC; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
