I have known Margie since middle school. Our friendship was instant and remained thru out our adult lives. Margie always had a smile on her face and was always so genuine& kind. Her presence as well as her smile would light up any room. Margie was someone who will never be forgotten. My condolences to her family, friends, & co-workers. She was truly dedicated in everything she touched.
To the Swinson/Koonce Family, Nikkie was truly a sweet, kind‑hearted young lady who would do anything for anyone. I want to offer the family my condolences .She always a fun loving and sweet person. My prayers are with you
What a sweet lady!
A naturally sweet and honest person from within, aunt Nikki knew how to be hard when she needed to but also knew how to make a person's smile come out. Even one things look like they were going to go to heck in a hand basket she knew to say to encourage you, no matter where I saw her, she had a smile on her face, and she would come to me and joke around to make me laugh, this is a tough one for the family, but I'm sure everyone understands that though she will be very missed she's happy because she's reunited. From now on, that will be a brighter shinier new star up there
Our condolences and LOVE to the Koonce and Swinson family

I'm truly saddened. She was hard as a rock but amazing at it. She lifted me and made me think there was more in life to the road I was on. I literally will never forget her. She changed peoples life's and always had the best intentions. If it wasn't for her I'm not sure where I would be. Thank you for always believing in me. You are an angel that will be forever missed but know you made a impact in soooooo many lives . For that .... I'm grateful!

Some people come into your life at the lowest point and see something in you that you can't even see in yourself. Sergeant Koonce was one of those people for me. She gave me a second chance when I honestly didn't deserve one. After I messed up and ended up back in jail, she still believed I could turn my life around and let me back out on that ankle monitor. This time, I got it right. Now I'm almost 2.5 years off the ankle monitor and 3.5 years clean. Recovery gave me my life back, but people like Sergeant Koonce helped open the door for that change to even happen. Seeing the video of her at my graduation from Hope on 11/3/23 hits different now. She wasn't just doing a job, she truly cared about people and wanted to see them win. She was a great woman, and she will be deeply missed. I'll never forget the role she played in my recovery. Gone but never forgotten.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal, You will be forever missed but never forgotten.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from The Lord... praying for the family. Independent Bikers of NC.
