Wise beyond measure, prayer warrior, confidant, phenomenal woman, elegant, God fearing, always encouraging, extraordinary, beautiful inside and out. Some people leave a mark on the world but Mrs. Marva left a mark on our hearts. She didn't just inhabit a room, she lit it up with her presence. An extraordinary person who gave an extraordinary example of how to live, how to love, how to honor God & how to lift others up. Joshua & I were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Marva. I've always known her but when my son attended PACE our relationship flourished. I used to tell my son what an honor it was for him and the other students to sit at her feet and absorb the knowledge & wisdom she shared. Heaven has gained an Angel. Baldwin/Gibson/Fisher family our sincerest condolences & many prayers. May God grant you the family a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Heartfelt love, prayers and condolences to the family of Cousin Marva. During our conversations at tge stores, church or whenever we met she lived to reminisce about her fond memories and adoration of "Cousin Celesta" and "Dot" and how much I looked like both of them! I didn't have her as a teacher, but I was aware of her zest for teaching, love and concern for her students. I often told her she reminded me of her siblings Mrs. Harper and Mr. Fisher who also shared her compassion to educate and inspire their students. May her legacy continue through the generations and please take comfort in knowing that she was loved and respected by many, and she will be truly missed. Zelda Hudson Best

Sending condolences to Dawn and the entire Fisher family on the loss of Mrs. Baldwin. A great lady that cared about her community during our small talks. I will miss her waves as she passes by in her car. She was well educated and she was a great story teller. When she spoke, you listened and you walk away gaining knowledge. Dear Cousin, I am still in disbelief due to the fact that two weeks ago I saw her at the bank, driving. Such a phenomenal woman of God. We are saddened, but heaven is smiling. "Well done, good and faithful servant. We'll done."

Dr. Dawn and Family,

Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family. Mrs. Baldwin was such an extraordinary woman. She desired the very best for every student she encountered. I remember her smileโ€”it always let you know she cared about your future. Yet, through her eyes and her voice, she also made it clear that you were not going to remain where you were; growth was expected and encouraged.

May the peace, comfort, and strength of God continue to rest upon your entire family during this difficult time. Our prayers are with you, and we celebrate the lasting legacy of love, wisdom, and excellence that Mrs. Baldwin leaves behind.

With heartfelt sympathy, Denise Robinson

Worked with her previously. Great lady, teacher and overall human being. Mrs Marva didn't take no mess and everyone, students/staff/parents respected her. The world is a little bit lesser of a place without her. RIP.

I am so saddened to know that I cannot call and talk it over with Mrs. Marva anymore. She was a remarkable lady and a dear friend. We could go months without talking but when we did talk it was like we never skipped a beat. There will always be a place in my heart for her. My quartet buddy, my life coach, my spiritual counselor; she was always what I needed. Rest easy Mrs. Marva. My deepest condolences to the family. If I can be of any assistance, let me know. With much love, Beverly Hines.

Sending my deepest condolences to all of Mrs. Baldwin's loved ones. I had Mrs. Baldwin for eighth grade English and she was one of my favorite teachers. This was a particularly difficult year for me as my parents were going through a divorce, but Mrs. Baldwin was always so supportive and made me feel seen. On one of the last days of school that year, I stopped by Mrs. Baldwin's class and she told me to keep writing. I kept writing in high school and then in college I went the journalism route. Now, I have the privilege of helping to teach and train young journalists as a college newsroom adviser. I have Mrs. Baldwin to thank for helping to keep me on track. I could've very easily lost track of my passion for writing โ€” my outlet โ€” during that challenging period as a young teen. Her encouragement left a lasting mark on me, and I'm sure many others throughout her career. May she rest in peace!

I extend my deepest Sympathy to Dawn and the Family. You are in my prayers! Love you dearly, Sincerely,
