Dear Cousin, I am still in disbelief due to the fact that two weeks ago I saw her at the bank, driving. Such a phenomenal woman of God. We are saddened, but heaven is smiling. "Well done, good and faithful servant. We'll done."

Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family. Mrs. Baldwin was such an extraordinary woman. She desired the very best for every student she encountered. I remember her smile—it always let you know she cared about your future. Yet, through her eyes and her voice, she also made it clear that you were not going to remain where you were; growth was expected and encouraged.

May the peace, comfort, and strength of God continue to rest upon your entire family during this difficult time. Our prayers are with you, and we celebrate the lasting legacy of love, wisdom, and excellence that Mrs. Baldwin leaves behind.

Worked with her previously. Great lady, teacher and overall human being. Mrs Marva didn't take no mess and everyone, students/staff/parents respected her. The world is a little bit lesser of a place without her. RIP.

I am so saddened to know that I cannot call and talk it over with Mrs. Marva anymore. She was a remarkable lady and a dear friend. We could go months without talking but when we did talk it was like we never skipped a beat. There will always be a place in my heart for her. My quartet buddy, my life coach, my spiritual counselor; she was always what I needed. Rest easy Mrs. Marva. My deepest condolences to the family. If I can be of any assistance, let me know. My condolences to the Baldwin Gibson family.

Sending my deepest condolences to all of Mrs. Baldwin's loved ones. I had Mrs. Baldwin for eighth grade English and she was one of my favorite teachers. This was a particularly difficult year for me as my parents were going through a divorce, but Mrs. Baldwin was always so supportive and made me feel seen. On one of the last days of school that year, I stopped by Mrs. Baldwin's class and she told me to keep writing. I kept writing in high school and then in college I went the journalism route. Now, I have the privilege of helping to teach and train young journalists as a college newsroom adviser. I have Mrs. Baldwin to thank for helping to keep me on track. I could've very easily lost track of my passion for writing — my outlet — during that challenging period as a young teen. Her encouragement left a lasting mark on me, and I'm sure many others throughout her career. May she rest in peace!
