Mary Evelyn Sampson Jordan Koonce, 88, of New Bern died Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Riverpoint Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Her service is 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2020 on the grounds of First Missionary Baptist Church 819 Cypress St. A private interment will be held Wednesday at New Bern National Cemetery. Her walk thru viewing is 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday at Oscar's Mortuary.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Beasley, Havelock;; son, Michael Jordan, Winterville; one brother, Johnnie Sampson, New Bern; nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Due to the Coronavirus all services are following the Governor's guidelines of six feet apart and a limit of fifty Family members.
Beasley, I'm sending my condolences. I remember when we worked together, how we used to share laughs together when talking about our mothers. Stay strong, my friend.
