Nathaniel Neil Newman

Sad to hear about SFC Newman's passing. I hadn't seen, talked or heard from him since Germany. He was my NCO in the mortar platoon HHC 2-6 INF. I remember when I first arrived and he told me not to go downtown to baumholder and then he caught me down there partying it up. He was quite a good barber too, I remember some of the missions we went on together. I hope he's in a Better Place. ~Sarazin

Yes, Like to send our deepest condolences to your family. We lived here in Longview where we met Nate. He was a great friend and help me out when trying to get my husband's truck started. Going to miss him and he laughed a lot with a smile each time we saw him. Always waved at us when I left the grounds. He will be missed here for sure.
