Opie you really left me at a loss of words. Don't even know what to say and how to feel at this point. You know what you meant to me and I know what I meant to you. You are the one that named me Trick because of my skills with playing cards...LoL...You were much older than me and always caring like my big brother even though you were my 1st cousin. Your Tricky will miss you dearly. It's never goodbye but see you later because we all have to depart this life one day so cuz rest well and may your soul rest in perfect peace. Love you always my Opie dope
So Very sad to hear of Mr. Otis's passing. Such a wonderful man who made such a big impact on our children's lives. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers!
I was only at JWS for a few weeks but Mr. Otis was so nice. He helped me with my clock and when it still wouldn't work, he brought me a new one. He even offered to help me get home when my car died.
My prayers go out to the family I know their will be a great gap left in your heart because his physical body has had a shift from this life. I will truly miss seeing him from time to time. From praising God together, singing in the join UPHC choir, to just being forever friends. One of my memories if Otis is him on the church drums until the summer before Covid-19 out break I was in the same fishing spot in James City and Otis caught the largest fish I ever seen and I witness the most beautiful fight between fish and man. The fish was determine to get free and Otis was determine to win, he looked like he was in the shower sweat dripping all over his face, I was so amazed at what I was seeing I didn't think to pick up my net and hold it under the fish. Otis line got tangled in the tree branch and the fish made his great excape. every time Since when I think of him I rewind the greatest fight I ever seen that had me spell bound. rest in Jesus arms my friend. will surely miss your pleasant friendly, free spirited, smiling face.
You're in our prayers and I hope that you find the peace that will help you with the pain your heart is feeling. Mr. Maurice & Constance Greene and family
I am really going to miss Mr. Otis and his big smile. His "Hi, How are you?" every time I would see him in the hallway or office when I would go in for meeting with the SIT team, his fist bumps to my kids. He was a very good man. Mrs. Flowers, I know that at this moment there is nothing that could comfort your aching heart from this loss, but just know that your husband was a wonderful man and loved by so many parents and children. We will truly miss him. RIP Mr. Otis
Jackson has cried his heart tonight over this news. Mr. Otis was one of the kindest people I have ever met in my life. He absolutely loved his job and the kids at that school. We have never been to that school when he didn't greet us with a huge smile and a hug for Trisha Gray. Since Jack's very first day at JWS, Mr. Otis has been the most important figure to him. You may think he was just a janitor but he was way more than that. Thank you Mr. Otis for being an everyday example of how to be kind and hard working, it did not go unnoticed.
Brenda, we are so sorry for your loss. We will keep you all lifted in prayer.

Caring thoughts are with you at this time of deepest sorrow...along with wishes that you'll find the strength to face each new tomorrow. With Heartfelt Sympathy, Loretta & Floretta Gooding
My boys are devastated. I already know you know what a gem he was. He was an employee at their school and to be able to reach kids like he did says a lot about his character. I often had to buy a "Zero" bar for him because Brady said that was his favorite. Please know we grieve as a community with your family. Thank you for sharing him with my sons! You're in our prayers and I hope that you find the peace that Only God can provide. Much love to you
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
