Obituary For Rena Knickerbocker Beall

Rena Knickerbocker Beall (Nicky), 86, passed away in her home on April 3, 2024 with her daughters by her side. Born April 10, 1937 in Poughkeepsie, New York. She met the love of her life the first week she attended Washington College, Chestertown, MD. They married in 1957 and celebrated their 66th anniversary last June.

Nicky was a self-taught organist and played for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for nearly 30 years. She continued her love of music when they retired to Fairfield Harbour, NC with handbells, choral and as a substitute organist.

Nicky loved the company of others and befriended everyone. She especially enjoyed golf, skiing, baseball, cats and found serenity watching the wildlife in her backyard. Nicky touched many lives with her smile, laughter and kind heart.

She is survived by her daughters, Cyndi Wallin (Kirby) and Judy Regrut (Mike); five grandchildren, Jake and Kira Wallin, Caity, Maddy and Henry Regrut. She is predeceased by her husband, Ollie Beall and son, Jeff Beall.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, May 6th at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, 1605 Neuse Blvd, New Bern.
