Richard “Duke” Sutton, 89, Morehead City, passed into eternal life Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
His service is 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2024 at St. Mark AMEZ Church,5105 Hwy. 70 Morehead. The interment will follow at the Mansfield Community Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Sutton of the home; children, Shirese Simmons of Morehead City, NC, Richard Glenn Sutton (Angie) of Morehead City, NC; Gail Turner (Matt) of Texarkana, Arkansas, Ronnie Sutton of Morehead City, NC, Connie Sutton of Morehead City, NC and Sonya Godette (Ureka) of Havelock, NC; his siblings, Delbert Sutton (Lois) of Bogue Sound, NC; Brenda Humphrey (William) of James City, NC; Billy Ray Sutton (Billie) of Lancaster, Ohio; Avonda King (Craig) of Jacksonville, NC; Doris Franklin (Larry) of Jacksonville, NC; Tammy Thrower of Jacksonville, NC; Angela Edward of Morehead City, NC; nine grand-children and a host of great-grand-children and great-great grand-children.
