Sarah Phine Sawyer, 92, of Vandemere, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Visitation of friends at 565 Pennsylvania Avenue is from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday and Friday June 25th and 26th.

Public Viewing hours begin 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Friday, June 26th and Saturday, June 27th 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.

Her funeral service is 1:00 PM, Sunday, June 28, 2026 at St. Peter M.B. Church, Vandemere. The Interment will follow at the Sawyer Family Cemetery

She is survived by one son, Clinton Sawyer; four daughters, Virginia Simmons, Brenda Sawyer, Barbara Sawyer-Nobles and Bernell Sawyer; two sisters, Odessa Jones and Alberta Banks; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
