To Marvin and the grandchildren: I was sorry to hear of the illness and passing of one of my parents' longtime close friends. In my youth I spent lots of time around Mrs. Elaine & Mr. Gilbert when they socialized with my parents at various Shriners events and at our homes. Mrs. Elaine was very smart and witty, and very attentive to me, but didn't bite her tongue in situations when others hesitated to speak up and speak out! I admired her for those qualities!❤️ In my adult years I didn't see her as often, but whenever I did see her, I would laugh at her unchanged personality over the years. She and my mother Viola always had a special bond that will never be forgotten. RIP Mrs. Elaine!🙏🏾❤️
TO THE HICKS FAMILY: We, the members of Pride of Ft. Barnwell #515 were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved Sister. She was an active member when she was in good health. We will truly miss her. Our prayers are with you today and always.
