I started working at Cherry Point fresh out of college and was lucky enough to work alongside Tommy. He was an amazing mentor and taught me all about composite repair, reading engineering drawings, conducting analysis, and much more. Tommy was brilliant, hardworking, calm, patient, and kind. I loved his sense of humor and we had great fun joking around in the office, which made the work pass quickly.
While I'm deeply saddened he has departed us, I know he is gracing all who had gone before him with his presence in heaven. I pray the Salder family will find comfort in knowing Tommy's memory will live on in all those that were blessed to know him.
-Steven Hinsch

Tommy was a wonderful and loving cousin-in-law to my Graham Family! A great husband, father, son and brother to his family! May God give my cousin Johnetta, their children and his family in strength and peace, knowing Tommy has earned his wings in heaven. It is God's victory that Tommy finished his course and is at peace with the Lord.
Blessings with my love,
Nina Graham
My condolences to Tommy's many loved ones. I was fortunate to have become friends and later work for him. He was a true professional who cared about all those around him, and always willing to help. He always had a smile or that friendly grin. He is missed. Aldo
My sincere condolences and prayers for your family. I worked with Tommy on the H-53 program for a number of years. He was always willing to explain, discuss and teach. Being new to rotors and drives he was such an amazing mentor, co-worker and ally, always ready to share his wealth of knowledge. I can never thank him enough for all he taught me and he will be sorely missed. Kimberly Spencer
My condolences to the family. Tommy was always kind to me at work and good to talk with. He took the time to listen and relate. I hope I did the same for him. We enjoyed talking about our families. I especially enjoyed telling him that his wife is one of my daughter's favorite teachers at new bern high. His face lit up when I told him that. Almost every evening when leaving work I was able to tell him to have a good evening I'll see ya later. I'll miss ya buddy, but look forward to seeing ya later with Christ in eternity. Dave Beaman
My sincere condolences and prayers to Tommy's family. I met Tommy at FRC East. He was always kind and respectful. The one thing we discovered that we had in common...we were both alumni of NCA&TSU..."Aggies"! I'll always remember his kind and pleasant spirit. May God strengthen his wife, children, family and friends today and in the days to come.
Tommy was great person. Always a pleasant disposition with a grin. I was fortunate to work with him on occasion. Every time we reconnected, we picked right up where we left off. May he Rest In Peace. Thoughts and prayers to the family. John Munroe
The notification of Tommy's passing just came across my email. I could not believe it because we are similar age and worked together 15 years ago. This could easily be me. I remember Tommy as quiet, kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. Never seen this brother in an ill mood. I pray he had a relationship with God. Rest in peace my brother. Condolences to the fam.
My fondest memory of my nephew was when he was in High School and wanted to come to my job to do his career week. He followed one of the Engineers around all week and at the end of the week he had made up his mind he wanted to become an Engineer. He said he wanted a job like that because you didn't do a whole lot except sit around. That was the career he was looking for.

My heart felt condolences! Tommy was like a big brother to me. He cared for everyone equally. He was calm, easy to talk to, caring, God-fearing and God loving, very wise, a good listener, advisor and mentor, a great family man, a role model for many. I have nothing but great things to say about Tommy. I started working with him as my senior aerospace engineer in 2016. I'm from Ethiopia and Tommy was my first real encounter of someone with black ancestry in the States. He was like a very well written book to me. I admired how he kept his soul clean of despair and stayed full of love and caring. ... Tommy, thank you very much for all your help and support! I wish you stayed around for a bit longer. May God rest your soul in heaven! May God continue to protect your family and give them peace! ππ½ - Michael Tizale

Tommy was a great co-worker and I enjoyed working with him. Prayers and comfort for the family. Wendy Ellis
Tommy was a blessing to work with. I was a part of the JETT program as the secretary and time after time, anything I needed, I could always without a doubt, count on Tommy to provide the information needed and also to help with changes in how we could better equip the new hires. He was always so easy going and helpful. And he talked about his family often and how proud he was of his children and how much he loved his wife. He was a very grateful man and loved the Lord. My heart is heavy for your family, but I know he is in the greatest place and will be watching over and protecting you all. I know right now, it's hard to see the good, but I hope you all know that your husband/dad was an amazing influence and positive light to be around and work for/with. God bless! ππ½ Julye Alvarez

What began as a childhood chance encounter turned into the tightest of friendships to become a brotherhood that remains unbroken. I can only Thank God for placing "T Sad" in my life at a time when we had no idea the reason. We only knew "fun" but God had a lasting purpose. To a family that has embraced me since the day I pulled into their driveway and treated me as their own, I thank you and love you. To hear our Mothers confirm that it was ok to spend the night made for the greatest Friday nights of my childhood. To have this all result in meeting a Sister I never knew I had and then a Niece and Nephew is all from God. Johnetta, Thomas and Jordan I know nothing but to love you. We pray and hold on to the promise God will cover and provide you with strength beyond measure. To my BROTHER, thank you for enough memories to last until my next turn in the driveway. "BWoods"
Tommy was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I've worked with him for years. He will be sorely missed. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family.

To our dearest friend but known as family. Our first encounter I remember like yesterday, entering 5th grade unfamiliar to a new school. I remember you sat last row four seats back. I tracked you because in the chaos you were my comfort. Your resemblance to my younger brother then struck our first conversation that continued into our adulthood. Your wife, I call my sister and our children know each as Auntie Wita and Uncle Toot. My heart is broken. I cannot question our Lord. We will all continue to support her and children along with your parents, brothers, sister and family. May God daily strengthen and encourage. Your name for me "BuVa"I will forever cherish and hear in my memories along with your joyful giggle, and playful banter. You are forever missed. Thank you for sharing your life with us. -Belinda Woods and family.
