William Arthur Stevens Jr.,72, of the James City Community of New Bern was called to rest on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Viewing begins Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.
His service is 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Undenominational Pentecostal Holiness Church, 801 Hwy. 70 E. Historic James City Community. New Bern. The interment will follow at the Meadows Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Lee Stevens of the home; two sons, William Devon Stevens (Denise) and Stephone Betts Stevens both of New Bern; two daughters, Vivian D. Howard (Donald)and Tina Nicole Stevens both of New Bern; his mother, Mamie Stevens of New Bern; three brothers, Joseph Stevens (Norma) and Jeffery Stevens both of Havelock and Michael Stevens, New Bern; one sister, Paula Jones, (Elijah) New Bern; sister-in-law, Victoria Stevens, New Bern; sister-of-the-heart, Barri Swindell

This is quite a blow as the Stevens has been my family for more than 30 plus years. I will miss his dedication for his community and his great love for his family. I do know that he does not have to suffer the ills of this world anymore... This does not lessen the heartache and longing pays family will have every day with him gone but not forgotten.
