Sending my love, prayers and heartfelt condolences to cousin Bill Davis's children, immediate family and all of our Davis and Lewis families. I'm going to miss him because whenever we saw each other, he would always tell me about my Daddy and about some of our relatives. When my grandmother, Gertrude Lewis Cox, passed in New York. He and our cousin Bud Green drove my Daddy, Wesley Davis, Sr., me and my sister, Valarie Davis, to New York to attend her service. We stopped in Virginia to visit one of our elderly relatives that he visited a lot. He took us to meet his children that lived there and just made sure we got to where we needed to be. He would often stop by Daddy's house while I was there and we talked about family. He was always dressed nicely and had that beautiful smile. His loved his family, his family loved him, but God loved him BEST! Cousin Bill Davis will "FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS " ❤️ —-Ruth Jones Ligon
I am hurt and my heart is broken after hearing of the lost of my dear uncle. We had so many years to live, laugh, and eat some good meals and love on one another. You always said we got to do this one again soon. I recall the last Christmas dinner we had with moma your sister said don't leave come eat dinner with us you never know Bill it might be our last time. We bothered laughed at moma and you came back and said Sissy if you want me to stay just say the word. She then laughed and said she did, then we had a feast. Later you said let me get on down here to Bill Davis camp. We had a great time and little did we know it was our last Christmas. Now I am here after telling you I was coming home for Christmas to be with you and you are gone too. I don't have either of you now and I am so lost for words. I can't stop crying 😢 my 💔 is broken. You know how I felt about you and I know how you felt about me, and nobody better not even think about messing over you. Because they would have to see me. I LOVE YOU BUT GOD LOVES YOU BEST!Your mother's name sake..sTDPR
Another huge loss for the County. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bill Davis my entire life, and in my 51 years, he has been the exact same. His signature style, gold-tooth smile, stylish brim, and sense of humor will never be forgotten! A true Water St. legend! To my Davis family- not by blood, but by love- I send my sincere prayers and condolences. His presence will be greatly missed. Olinka Burley Baker

To the Davis family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. What can I say about this icon of a man? Just a few weeks ago you came to house to comfort me and you let everyone in the house know that I was your "Lil Wifey". You had everyone rolling. There have not been a milestone in my life that you were not a part of. The many conversations we had and your words of wisdom will forever be in my memory. Rest easy my dear friend.
