Today hit different for me because I'm preparing to attend a service for a special friend.Yuri was an amazing listening friend.He loved so hard and gave much of his life giving back.Yuri always spoke of his mom and children and especially his grandchildren.Yuri lived loud and proud.I will miss you Yuri.My heartfelt condolences to The Family and Friends.

Wishing you peace and love as you navigate this challenging time. My heart aches and I am truly sorry for the loss of Yuri! Words cannot convey the feelings I have for my Nephew Yuri Southerland. He will always hold a special place in my heart! He spent endless time down through the years talking & visiting his uncle, the Late Bob Southerland and myself.

From the day we met, you stood by me like a brother—protecting me, looking out for me, and making sure I was always good. Just off knowing my family , you took me in as family. For years, we traveled together, trip after trip, creating memories that will never fade.

But what made you so special wasn't just how you looked out for me—it was how deeply you loved your own kids and your mother. You lived for them. You were always about giving, always with a helping hand. You even watched over my kids like a father figure, offering advice, guidance, and care.

Your heart was bigger than borders—you were always on the go, sending items back to Africa for children, delivering things as far as Europe, always finding a way to make sure others were taken care of. That's the man you were.

I'll never meet another soul like yours again. Losing you hurts beyond words, but I'm grateful to have known a heart so rare, so giving, so full of love.

What a loving caring guy who loved his family so much i first met yuri in 2015-2018 (cant remember the exact year ) yuri came to my country barbados to help a friend out with a family matter that his friend was facing i use to work over the road from where yuri was stay from day one yuri was always a very nice person he always talked about his kids grand kids and his mom i remember one year he had came back with his daughter ( the singer) my condolences goes out to the entire family circle will miss you Yuri my forever friend 💙💙 sending my love all the way from barbados 🇧🇧🇧🇧💙

Thank you for pushing me beyond my own limits, for encouraging me to see the possibilities I never imagined for myself, and for reminding me of the strength and determination that lies within. Your light filled every room you entered, and your kindness, laughter, and generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know you. You had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved, and that gift will never be forgotten.

I will carry with me the lessons you taught, the joy we shared, and the love you gave so freely. I will treasure every moment, every laugh, every conversation, and every memory we created together.
