Rest in peace my childhood friend and neighbor. There were countless miles that you and I, Donnell and Elaine walked that trail between our houses to play and endure whatever mischief that we could create as children. I am sure you that you will be missed. My condolences to the Garrett family, God be with you during what I know to be a difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

I am so sad to hear of Mr. Garrett's passing. I had first noticed Mr. Garrett before I became his neighbor, as he would often wave to me, a stranger, from his yard, when I drove by. Once I became his neighbor, I came to realize that he did that for a lot of people. Many times, through the day, I would hear a friendly horn honk, as a friend, or a stranger, drove by to share his greeting. When he first met my granddaughter, he went on about how cute she was, and whenever she came over to our house, she wanted to go visit our neighbor and his dog. As we pulled in our driveway, she would usually look out the window and ask "Neighbor"? to see if he was outside or not. When we visited, he often talked about the weather and football. If I asked how he was doing, he would say "I can't complain." He would always ask me how my Wife and Little Grandbaby were doing. I'll miss my neighbor. I'll miss his kindness and I'll miss seeing him in his front yard, with his waves and shouts of greeting!
