Alexander Bell was born November 4, 1954, to the late Woodrow and Eliza Bell. His brother, Anthony Lee Bell, preceded him in death.
Alexander attended Memphis City Schools and was a proud graduate of Hamilton High School.
Having been raised in a Christian home, Alexander accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Kenneth T. Whalum, Sr. As a youth, he was active in Sunday School and the church choir. Later, he transferred his membership to Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church where he continued serving the Lord by singing praises in the Mass Choir.
Alexander was employed as a fireman with the City of Memphis Fire Department and later became the owner of his own landscaping company.
Alexander departed this life on January 3, 2024, leaving to cherish his memories: one daughter, LuJodia Bell of Martin, Tennessee; one son, Alex (Angelica) Bell of Memphis, Tennessee; two brothers, Floyd Lee (Alice) Bell of St. Louis, Missouri, and Walter (Susie) Bell of Holly Springs, Mississippi; three grandsons, Aden, Adrien, and Avery; a special friend, Juanice “Niecy” Brooks; his god-brother, Freddie Criss; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
