Obituary For Hattie Pearl Moore

Hattie Pearl Prince was the first born of three children: Hattie, Johnnie, and Robert. At age 18 Hattie met Raymond Moore Sr while walking into a store; Raymond was instantly smitten. They exchanged pleasantries, was engaged for two years and married on September 14 1963. Hattie Pearl was a woman of gentle strength and powerful determination. She attended Nursing School while working full time and taking care of a husband and family. Hattie eventually became Assistant Nurse Manager of GYN Department at The Med. She later served several years in the I.T. Department at Adams Pavilion before retiring in 2003. Retirement allowed Hattie to participate in Saint Augustine Ministry To The Sick, Saint Augustine Parrish Health Team, Saint Augustine Eucharistic Ministry, as well as support husband Raymond's dishes for the Men Who Cook. Hattie remained a dedicated member of the Rosary Prayer Warriors until she left this world. Hattie is deeply loved and greatly missed. We are so glad you have joined us here to celebrate Hattie's life. We look forward to the day when we can all hug her again because we have God's promise of eternal life! Hattie is survived by her husband Raymond, their six children, and a host of neices and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes (Walnut Grove) in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at 11:00 am in the St Augustine Catholic Church with officiating. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

To the Moore family, I cannot express to you how deeply saddened I am at the passing of Hattie Moore. She was so very kind and patient. She very rarely missed our nightly Rosary and always apologized profusely when she was late coming on the line. I will always cherish her spiritual words of wisdom and kind spirit. She will truly be missed! May God's perpetual light continue to shine upon her and all of your family! Carmen

To my second family(The Moore's). I have SOOOO many memories of you, that I don't know where to begin. First let me say your mother was such a special person who always made me feel loved and always encouraged me during my growth and maturity. She was a Ray of Sunshine who continued to share her grace, wisdom and knowledge with me. As her family and my family (Taylor's) grew, I always felt we all had a strong bond that would never be broken. I guess the best way to describe it is blended. I had the best of having two families. I will always remember her smile and encouragement. I will cherish my dear mother and preserve her legacy in my heart forever. To Mr. Moore. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful soul with me and know we will all see her again in the morning. May The Lord continue to give Peace, Comfort and Love to my extended family. Rest my sweet ANGEL!!

Well done faithful servant. Mrs Moore I will always adore and cherish the love you gave to me and my family. I will miss everything about you especially your gracefulness and wisdom. To Mr. Moore thank you for sharing Mrs Hattie's love with my family. To her children, your mom did a wonderful job raising you all while making the job look effortless. Keep walking in her grace and know she is now resting with the Lord. Godspeed from her Texas family.
