Michael attended Hamilton High School. He later earned his GED, and then proudly joined the United States Marine Corps in 1975.
Michael was the embodiment of strength, resilience, and love for family. As the oldest of his parent’s six children, he carried himself with wisdom, toughness, and a heart of gold. He was an old-school man whose presence naturally commanded respect.

I will always appreciate the fact that throughout the years Mike would check on his Aunts and Uncles. He would make his rounds, when I would talk to Irma or Jim they would say I talk to Mike today and I would respond, he called me too. He was making his rounds. Mike had such a sweet spirit and only known him to get upset a couple of times over the years. When he was talking and wanted you to agree with him; he would say "ain't that right auntie". Mike is finally at peace, free from pain and worry. I'm going to miss him!!
