When I first met Bruce, he was 11 years old! He became my brother-in-law in 1973 when he was 14. I remember he would come down to the basement and talk to me when I would bring our laundry to the house on Northumberland. I watched him grow up to become a hardworking provider, a loving father, a caring mentor to young Black men, a fine cook, and a devoted caregiver to his parents. The circle of friends and family who surrounded him are a testament to how much he was loved.
My sincerest condolences to the Burleigh family. Margaurite Strickland Montgomery
