Wow I can't believe God Called his beloved child home. Ms. Cindy. You was someone who was there for me when I was going through alot of hardships at home. You always had the Bible verses for me to turn to when you didn't know what to say. But little did she know or realize that her just being a listening ear and a spiritual soul helped me in more ways than anyone could understand. My time in Ms. Cindy's life may have only been a year but she made that year not be my last and for that I am ever and extremely grateful for her. I will miss you dearly but I'm glad your home with our Heavenly Father ~ Johnnelle Caleb
Miss Cindy, like a second mother to me. Always was on me about my uniform, and being late and this that and the third( Was kinda in a rebellious phase). But at times when I felt like I was at my lowest, she always was there to uplift me by words of encouragement, a nice gesture here and there. And her famous line that she would always tell me that seemed to cure everything at the time was "Drink some water baby, and head back to class." Thanks for being more than just a school secretary, thanks for being a second mom to those who needed it. We love and miss you miss cindy ❤️ - Naeem Green
Cindy was such a wonderful colleague and friend. Someone who let her light shine in all she did. She had a listening ear for all of the students who would confide in her, and she would send then off with her famous "drink some water, baby". With love, Jim, Teresa, and family

This one hurts really bad.
Ms. Cindy was the office manager at The City School during my 4 years of high school. I had the blessed opportunity to connect with Ms. Cindy on a deeper level and developed an everlasting relationship with her. She was like a second mother to me. We'd take the 13 trolley together on our way home after school, and sometimes I'd tag along with her to run errands. She'd pay for us to get our nails done and brought us dinner from the Black Sheep( the happy hour menu was bomb). One winter she brought me a $300 fur coat from Macys because she thought my puffer jacket wasn't keeping me warm enough, lol. We used to spend a lot of time together after school just hanging out, talking about life and God. Sometimes I'd help her clean at the end of the day and she'd direct me to set up the coffee machine for the teachers. When I didn't have money to buy lunch, Ms. Cindy gave me money, and sent me to the Chinese takeout spot on South street to buy a General Tso platter with white rice and a side of broccoli for us to split. When I was struggling with algebra, she took me to Barnes and Nobles and she brought me the Algebra For Dummies handbook with the workbook. I used these tool to help me pass the class.
In the moments when I felt 'alone' in high school, Ms. Cindy would speak life into me and reminded me of my purpose in Christ. We connected on a spiritual level and her friendship deepened my faith in God and the power of the Holy Spirit. I have a strong relationship with Christ because of Ms. Cindy. Her boldness made me bold. Our relationship was unique and I am forever grateful for her. All I have now is our memories and our last text messages. I'll hold on to these Ms. Cindy. I know we'll see each other again in Heavenly places.
Rest in paradise, my friend. My son will learn about you and know of your love for God and people. I love you! -Gabriella Chang
