I had the pleasure of getting to know Mrs. Mathis during her stay with us at St. Mary's Woods. We talked and found that my late father and her late husband had worked together as Mail Carriers. She was quite a delight. I enjoyed getting to know her and her sons. Clyde Carter, Director of Dining Services, St. Mary's Wood's Retirement Community.

Condolences to the Mathis family. I had the honor of meeting Johnny first in Washington Park with the Mathis family &`Sampson family of Fair Oaks in 50's & 60's. I met Lois 2001 after playing a round of golf with Johnny. She really had an outstanding personality. Throughout time,I would call and visit them. I definitely have fond memories of them.
