To the family of Marvin, I offer my deepest sympathy to you during this difficult time. Marvin was a true and dear colleague of mind who was always willing to help me in anyway possible. I would call him with a problem and he would say "Hold on" I am going to work on it right now!! I would say "but Marvin can I call you back....and he would say "No" cause if I hang up I might not get to do it and get involved in something else....I would stay on the line and we would laugh and chat about any and everything while he was working on my problem. Hold on to those wonderful memories you shared with him and may they always remain within your heart. God makes no mistakes.....he has another Angel joining him! Take Care. Marvin was my Virgin State Moddis Phi Moddis Brother as well as a dear friend. His wise insights and quotable tidbits about surviving in the workplace helped transition me into the professional I am today. I carried his spirit with me as I moved away to Louisiana and now Dallas, TX. His spirit will remain in my memory from now on. "M Phi M will never cease; PEACE!" ----- Jackie Long [Manns]
My brother in law was one of a kind. He was witty, wise and knowledgeable. A memory I have of Marvin is riding in his car with my husband and nephew. Marvin took us to the cheesecake factory to try the cheesecake. After that we were hooked.
To the family, I offer my deepest sympathy on the passing of Marvin. He will always be remembered as the perfect gentleman. May he rest in peace. Blessings, Shelia O. Spurlock-Shaw Glen Allen, VA
