Howard V Willis Sr. was a mentor to me every since my arrival at RMZBC 24 years ago. He had more confidence in me then I had in myself. I've organized 3 ministries since I've been at RMZBC and deacon Willis was instrumental in their success. Always encouraging my family and I outside the church as well. There is so much I can say but I'll leave with, he treated me like a son. A "Father Figure" to me. Blessings and condolence to Mrs. Willis and the entire Willis family. Thank you for sharing this man with the world. From David L. Cross Sr. and family.

To Deaconess Virginia Willis, sister Debbie, Bishop Howard Willis, sister Sonja and Henry and family. We pray that you will feel God's presence and that God will bring you comfort and peace during this time of bereavement. Deacon Willis was a faithful member, he served as a deacon, trustee, usher, male chorus, Sunday School teacher and men ministry. He was a steward of the church, a pillar of our church, a true son of our church, but most of all a dedicated servant to all. We thank God for him and love him.

To the entire Willis family, I send my sincere condolences to you at this time of sorrow. I pray that the Holy Spirit comfort, strengthen and keep you.
My greatest condolences goes out to the Willis family, although I met Deacon Willis through his son Bishop, our pastor at Greater Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. I recall that often when we celebrated something at the church both Deacon and Deaconess Willis always attend it right along with the rest of the congregation. They became like family. May God keep you all in his arms at this time. Blessings, Twanda Wells
I don't have enough words to express my thoughts about the life of Deacon Howard Willis. He was for us our own "Soldier and a Gentleman." Deacon Willis always met you with a smile, had words to encourage you, and loved God, his family and friends. I will miss his physical presence and will always be thankful for his friendship. Family, be encouraged that like a good soldier Deacon Willis is still watching over you. The Hathaway and New Covenant family are praying for the Willis and Rising Mt Zion families.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
