Uncle Roland shared some of his last time with me. One day we went to Dad's (Carl) bank to do some business and the Lee statue had just been removed. We rode around Monument Ave talked he shared some memories and giggled at the past and present state of Richmond. He confided in me in ways I'll keep to myself because he gave that to me. I love you, Uncle Roland. You will always live in my memory. That is God's ever present mercy.
Valerie and family please accept my sincere condolences. We definitely have beautiful memories that will linger on forever. May GOD continue to bless the you and family. Laverne Walker-Field "Big"

If you have been around when my friend and I talked we always referred to one another as "Horse ". Well "Horse" I am going to miss our greetings and you, but I know your race is won. We also ended our conversation with "Gone". I know that you are gone from this earthly place to God's Heavenly place and know that he will greet you lovingly. I have a special place in my heart for you and will never forget our special friendship, fishing trips or talks. Thanks for being my friend! Prayers and condolences to your family.
