Veda E. Meekins

To the family of Ms. Veda Meekins. I offer my sincere condolences. Veda and I were co-workers for many years with the City of Richmond DPU. The Veda I will remember was a pleasant,straightforward and fine lady. We retired together on October 31st 2019. Bless you all and be well. Ken Cooper, Sr.

Veda, thank you for wrapping your arms around me and making me feel welcomed from day one. Thank you for showing me all that you could when time and health allowed. I will always remember the many talks we had on the phone, at work and especially when I stayed over to learn from you. Thank you for being my momma and my friend and for always being "Straight Up, With No Chaser" with me I appreciated that about you. Because, you left me a voice mail message and I listen to you and hear your voice whenever I reach a low point in the day. Even though our time together was cut short, I thank God for the time that he allowed me to be in your presence and for those who knew you; if you were given the pleasure to get to know Veda consider yourself blessed.
