For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a goodfight, I havefinished my cow-se, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all of them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8

During the quiet of the afternoon hours of Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Mamie Ruth Felder Void peacefully entered eternal rest at her home in Rowesville, South Carolina.

The life of Mrs. Mamie Felder Void began in Orangeburg County. She was born on February 25, 1953, the young child of the late Daniel Felder, Jr., and Rosa Lee Gardner Felder.

She also served as Treasurer and vice-president for her class reunion. After graduating from high school, she attended Claflin College (University).

Growing up in a devoted Christian family, Mamie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Andrew Chapel Baptist Church, where she diligently and faithfully served as an usher. Later, she moved her membership to Brown Chapel AME Church, her mother's church. After affiliating herself with Brown Chapel, Mamie became continually active with the Women's Missionary Society. Mamie's led an interesting and fulfilling life. The sparkle in her eyes was her grandchildren. She traveled to many places to include Germany, Texas, Virginia.

Being a Christian,. Mamie's life was devoted to serving Christ by serving others willingly, with love and dedication. She volunteered with the Lunch Program in Rowesville, SC, for the children during the school break and other activities for the children and senior citizens.

Mamie was formerly married to Terrell Gene Void, and they were blessed with three sons.

Mamie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Daniel Adam Felder, III; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Mamie Felder; and her maternal grandparents, Adam and Lillie Gardner.
