I was five years old when I met my brother, Kenny for the first time. I remember him and our brother Jay arriving at our dad's house in Baltimore. Prior to their arrival, I heard Dad and Mom discussing the visit with the "boys". I thought my brothers were little boys my age. The doorbell rang, I ran to the door excited to meet my new playmates! Daddy opened the door and my tall and grown brothers walked in. I was disappointed because they were not little boys who I could play with. Kenny noticed my sullen expression and asked why I was so sad. I told him that I did not have anyone to play with. At that moment, Kenny tapped into the "little boy" in him and played and laughed with me for hours. He was around 22 years old then and could keep up with his energetic baby sister. I will never forget that day. I smile whenever I think of that time with him. I spoke to him a few days before he passed. I heard the Kenny Williams laugh. I will keep his laugh in my memory forever.
