On Saturday, December 13, 2025, God graciously called one of His angels, Stevie Allen Tillman, home. Stevie was born on February 16, 1962, to the late Lee Harrison and Armender Sinclair Tillman.
Stevie attended the public schools of Anson County and was a 1980 graduate of Bowman Senior High School. He furthered his education at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Later, he joined the United States Army, where he became a Multichannel Communications Equipment Operator. Stevie served 6 years of dedicated service to the military.
After his time in the military, Stevie returned to Charlotte, NC, and began working in the civilian sector as a banker. This career led to various other opportunities, and he continued to work throughout his life.
Stevie accepted Christ as his Lord at a young age and was a strong believer in his faith. He loved reading, studying and discussing the Bible. Stevie attended Reeder Memorial Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where he served as a Trustee, Choir Member and member of the Audio/Video Team.
Stevie met and later married the love of his life, Brenita Bennett. Together, they have a total of 5 children and 11 grandchildren.
Stevie had a caring spirit, loved to laugh and have a good time. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers, Duke Blue Devils, and Charlotte Hornets, often spending hours watching sports. He enjoyed life and strived to live it to the fullest.
