Mac and Family, I am sadly stunned to hear of Cheryl's passing. I remember the days when we were just starting out as educators in Anson County. Upon meeting her, I could see right away that she was a very wise and wonderful person. She was an inspiration to all of us. Her kindness will forever be engraved in my heart. With deepest sympathy, I send my regards to you and your family. May the light of GOD continue to shine on each of you. Denise Kendall
Please accept my deepest sympathy. Cheryl is a beautiful woman of God. We had our last dinner at Lady Bug restaurant. I will cherish those memories. I will miss you. Until we meet again Sis. I send you a Spiritual kiss of Love.
Dear Family,
We grieve our loss while celebrating Cheryl's victorious life. Earth's loss is truly heaven's gain. We know heaven is rejoicing with her arrival as the scripture declares ... to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. (2 Cor 5:8) Again the Word says ... In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Ps 16:11) Now being in the presence of the Lord she is rejoicing and saying it was worth it all.
She is being comforted with a comfort this world cannot provide. All her tears, pain and sorrow have been wiped away and now the glory that she could only imagine is realized. And yes, we will see her again, on the other side.
So, I pray in the next few days, weeks, and months when those moments of reflections and feelings of loss have their greatest pain you will be consoled and encouraged as you think about her with our Father who gave her as a gift to us all for a season.
Sincerely,
Rev. James & Susianne Patterson

Cheryl was a special friend and confidante. I learned so much from her as a teacher. I always enjoyed going to observe her classroom lessons when she taught at Wadesboro Elementary. Although she was a seasoned, and board certified teacher, she wasn't afraid to try new ideas in her classroom that would be conducive to student learning. She gave me some great advice as a principal and wasn't afraid to tell me that she thought I should or should not do something. I took her advice too. Not only did Cheryl touched the lives of many students, but she touched the lives of our staff at Wadesboro Elementary. Her peers looked up to her and genuinely respected her. When she spoke, they listened. We had many conversations in my office about our families. She loved som Mac McLeod, Matthew, and Michelle. They were the apple of her eye. Thank y'all for sharing Cheryl with us. I'm so glad I got a chance to tell her how much she meant to me personally and professionally at her 65th birthday celebration. Thanks Cheryl for the great legacy you have left here in Anson County. Until we meet again my sister........ Debbie Taylor
