We are members of the maternal side of the Powe family, and have fond memories of young Lila and her siblings. We as a family always came together to celebrate life, and to share laughs together, which makes for strong family bonds and beautiful memories. To Grover and Leomi, and family please accept our deepest condolences, and prayers for your strength during this time of bereavement. We love you all.

I am so saddened to hear of Lila's passing. Lila had such a kind personality. The last time that I saw Lila was when we were students at UNC-Greensboro. I saw her in front of the Elliott University Center. She greeted me with a pleasant greeting. We talked about how things were going and how our families were doing back home. Lila will always be remembered for her pleasant demeanor, radiant smile, and playing the piano so beautifully. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time.

I taught Lila piano lessons during her elementary and junior high school years. She was always focused on learning her music lesson. Lila practiced her music to perfection and learned to play the piano very well. I enjoyed teaching her because she had such a positive attitude. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with Lila's entire family and all of her friends during this difficult time.
