---I first met John at church, and shortly thereafter, we became close friends and coworkers at the BLP Branch Library. John was the person you could turn to when your spiritual cup was running empty—always ready to fill it back up with his wisdom and kindness. His warm, soft, and comforting voice had a way of putting you right at ease.
I will never forget his unique chuckle, often accompanied by a smile as he shared stories of his cruise ship adventures and the silly antics of his beloved dogs. He was a witness at my wedding, and having known him for over twenty years, he watched my children grow into adulthood.
I will deeply miss seeing his smiling face at the library and church. But I take comfort in knowing he is with his Creator now, at peace and full of joy.
Rest in peace, John. You will always be
