My dear Aunt Sookie (pronounced Aint Sukie, I will forever remember your singing voice, beautiful smile, many stories and jokes. Oh, the stories and jokes. After Clara told me that is the name she grew up calling you, I decided that because I wanted to be part of the family, I would also call you "Aint Sukie."When I played LORD, stand by me" on my phone, Saturday, I believed you could hear.. Love and peace to your family.

Auntie I was so looking forward to cutting up with you again at this years family reunion. We would laugh it up and then I'd ask you a million questions about my grandaddy, your brother Clark. My heart is broken but our memories will stand firmly! It felt good to always hear you say that I reminded you of yourself when you were younger. Rest well beautiful.
Kimberly (Jimmie's daughter as you loved to call me while smiling big and bright π)
My Sincere Condolences,
"Lady Mercer " as I called her, has left an impression on my heart. She was "Sassy" with a contagious spirit that screamed "a life well lived"! I was blessed to have spent a little time with her listening to some of the stories of her youth. Heaven got a good one. ~Annette
Rest in peace grandma. (Janell)Joppa,MD.

My heart was broken when I heard that "Aunt Sookie" had passed. She was always a beautiful soul and always kept us laughing in the choir. Whenever we had to go out to sing she always had a story to tell. I will miss that lovely smile and of course that "Voice." Well, God is now "Standing by you Aunt Sookie. You are at Peace and back with your family. God bless the Mercer Family. Love from The Patterson Family (Joyce & Alice)
