When I first met dad, he was very welcoming. First word came out from his mouth. "Son (my husband) she so small feed her!" We bust out laughing. It was my first 2 days here in Kentucky where he used to stay. I guess he never seen a small woman and just me being tiny. But anyway, to make the story short. I am blessed I'm part of the family. All of his children and the whole family are very welcoming. I felt loved and I gained a second family. Dad is very funny and very straight forward. He then told me baby if my son did something bad just let me know. I don't care if it's my son. We became closed and we are McDonald's buddies lol. After work my husband and I went to his apartment and asked if we are hungry because he wants some strawberry shake. Cornelius, Zabbie and I will always remember you and the memories we spent will stays in our hearts. Dad I know we didn't see you often after you moved but we all know you remembered us your family. To his wife thanks for the letting us know when you can about his condition. And for taking care of him and just to be with him. RIH dad and lastly, please keep watching us. We love you and we will miss you.

A Tribute to My Grandfather
Though we never met, Grandpa, you've always held a quiet place in my heart.
I've heard of your strength—your discipline, your dedication, your life of service. A man who lived with structure, purpose, and honor. And while I didn't get the chance to know you in person, I've come to know you through the stories, the values passed down, and the love that still surrounds your memory.
Even without meeting me, the love that was around you has always found its way to me. Through our family, I've felt seen, cared for, and accepted. That is a part of your legacy too.
I wish I had known you—but I carry your memory with pride, and I honor the life you lived.
With love and respect, Your grandchild
