Three Scores and Ten plus four is the time the Lord blessed us with Lois Jean Sharp and we are so grateful he did. She was born on April 7, 1947 to the late Ms. Dora Lee Mott and Mr. Willie Pate (Almurtha) Heard in Lee County, Alabama.
She attended Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Phillips Temple C.M.E. where she was a faithful member. A true missionary as she was always inviting everybody to Friends and Family Day.

She was a proud participating member of the Class of 1965 Alumni where she worked on the class reunion committee and attended every event. She worked at Fieldcrest Cannon Mill for over 40 years and ended her working days as a Foster Grandparent at Ridgecrest Elementary School. It was always a PLEASURE to see and talk to my Mother's (Whittie B. (Heard) Williams" niece" every time I saw her. She was always cheerful and so nice to her Heard family. "REST IN PEACE" my FIRST (1st) cousin and may GOD be with the rest of my family. Nathan Williams,Cathy, Opal and Brittney.
Quiet, sweet woman of God; she was a mother to all who needed a mother's care. I will miss those Sundays seeing her smile and hearing that soft voice saying "thank you" Keep the faith, family, her work on this earth is done; but her spirit will flow throughout all that knew her.
