Obituary For Julius Bernard "Bee" Wilson

Graveside service for Mr. Julius Bernard "Bee" Wilson, 71, of Talladega will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27 2020, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the funeral home.

Julius Bernard “Bee” Wilson was born on Wednesday, April 6, 1949, in Talladega, Alabama to Silas Wilson and Juliette Lawler Wilson.

Mr. Wilson dedicated his life to Christ and worshipped at Peace Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher and sang with the male chorus. Julius was a graduate of Westside High School. He dedicated many years of service to Crown Textiles and EBSCO Industries. In his spare time, Bee was a member of Elks Lodge #1171, enjoyed football, basketball, baseball, golfing and was a diehard Auburn Tigers fan. He had a love for life and truly enjoyed it to the fullest. Bee loved to dress and he was not “sharp” until he had on one of his Kangol hats to top off his outfit.

Julius traded time for eternity on the evening of Friday, November 20, 2020, at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Silas and Juliette Wilson; a sister, Nellie Jean Hayes; and a grandson, Joey Wilson.

Julius is survived by his four daughters, Felicia Wilson and Shalanda (Chris) Roberson of Talladega, Alabama, Carol McGhee of Sylacauga, Alabama and Shaneeka Phillips of Sterrett, Alabama; two sons, Datrick (Angela) Morris of Talladega, Alabama and Courtney Fain of Duluth, Georgia; eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, James (Juanita) Wilson of Talladega, Alabama and Silas (Charlotte) Wilson, Jr. of Decatur, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Clifford Hayes of Cleveland, Ohio; two special nieces, Sandy (Greg) Wilson and Nalida (Kevin) Hunt; a special friend, Cheryl Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

War Eagle Mr. B. Prayers to your family and friends. You will be sorely missed. Michelle Mitchell

On the Wednesday before each Ironbowl, ERRSS had an Alabama Auburn tailgate party. Julius was always a part of the tailgate. I have so many pictures of me in my Alabama attire and him decked out in Auburn. Today is that Wednesday. Due to Covid, we didn't have a tailgate party. I find it ironic that our tailgate party was cancelled because it wouldn't have been the same without me and Julius taking our annual picture. My heart is breaking. I so very sad that I have lost one of my best friends. I will miss not talking/texting you during the game on Saturday. RIP and War Eagle to my dear, dear FRIEND. ---- Susie Sims

Mr. Julius was the bright spot in my days for more than a decade when he delivered our mail with a smile. He was always good for a laugh and loved to pick on our unfortunate Alabama fans. We considered him our family and loved him as such. I'm so glad we were able to surprise him with a 70th birthday lunch. He will forever be in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
