Obituary For LeAndra Nicole Richardson
Born on October 6th, 1989, LeAndra was a vibrant presence in the lives of her mother and father, Diana Richardson-Chatman and Leon Wells.
Punkin, as she was affectionately known, accepted Christ at an early age and joined Southside Baptist Church. She was a proud graduate of Munford High School, Class of 2009. Known for her vivacious spirit and impeccable sense of style, she found joy in dressing up with full makeup, getting her hair done, and enjoying good soul food. Leandra cherished moments spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories with those she held dear.
LeAndra is survived by her devoted sisters, Tosha (Tim) Young of Oxford, AL and Nakki Speer of Homewood, AL; brothers, Cedric (Pierangeli) Richardson of Killeen, TX, Lekea (Fallon) Morris of Alpine, AL and Dontae (Rickita) Wheeler of Odena, AL. Her loving aunts, Mary Lou (Lawrence) Bush of Prattville, AL, Annie Mae (Billy) Curry of Talladega, AL, and Katinka Wells of Sylacauga, AL, as well as her uncles, Randy (Mary Nashay) Whitson and Eddie Whitson, Jr. of Talladega, AL, Terry Whitson of Houston, TX, Bishop Kenneth (Sheila W.) Monroe of North Carolina, and Michael (Tracey) Stone of Sylacauga, AL, also mourn her passing.
She was lovingly supported by her bonus sisters and brothers: LeKeatra Truss, Kashiri Elston, Tereka Ragland, LaShonda Borden, LaTerris Moten, and Stantavious Sistrunk. LeAndra's extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, joins in celebrating her brief yet impactful life.
A beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who left us too soon on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, at the age of 36. LeAndra was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Diana Richardson-Chatman and Leon Wells; her sister, Sharon Richardson; and her grandparents, Elizabeth and Eddie Whitson and Mona Lee and John Wells. Their reunion in the afterlife brings comfort to those she leaves behind.
Rest in peace, dear Punkin. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts

Punkin,girl just remembering the memories we shared..all the up and downs was with love. So many days you me and keatra had. You and I use to fuss about the craziest things and oh how we use to give keatra headaches and stay up late talking lol. Keatra was there with you to the end though through the good and bad. I couldn't see you like that towards the end but God knows when I spoke with you you always said you was ok or going to be ok but you knew God had you and that warms my heart. I love you punkin

Birthday Twin!! I thought I would surely be the first to go, but life has no guarantees. I was inspired to see you so strong and determined to do the things that you did , and the struggles you endure in this thing called life. You adopted me as your God Father in the short time together but you will surely be missed little girl, May the Lord the Resurrection and the Life lift you up into His Light and May your soul find Peace in His loving Arms.
