To hear of the passing of Jewel really crushed my heart. I met Jewel through my Son's Father Sean Lilly (RIP) and Reginald Lane (Free). Jewel was the absolute sweetest and humble Spirit. I would always tell her how Beautiful she was. Jewel would blush and say, Oh Kita stop it. I remember when she went and permanently did her eyebrows. She tried to convince me to do it as well but I got scared. Jewel always had this Beautiful Mystic that I could never forget. My Sincerest Condolences to The Family. She was such a a beautiful person, inside and out!! I loved surprising her with chocolates during the Fall, and she loved a wrap around bracelet I had on. I had offered to get her a new one, but she wanted the one I was wearing, lol... I was happy to take it off and place it on her wrist. She will be truly missed!! RIP my dear friend.

Sending prayers of comfort and my sincerest condolences to my family, sweet Patty and cousin Lynn. I will cherish the memories we shared growing up as true southern girls working in tobacco. I worked because I chose to and Jewel because she had to and through it all she always had a warm greeting "what's up cuz" and a loving hug. We shared lots of laughter and great times during those years when I was growing up in NC. With life we grow up and move on but knowing that true genuine love still resides whether we saw each other or not. I shall cherish those memories cousin. Sleep well and rest in true peace.
