Obituary For Aldeen Tomlin

Mr. Aldeen Calvin Tomlin was born on June 12, 1950, to the late Mrs. Lula Mae Releford Tomlin and the late Mr. Oliver Jack Tomlin in Yatesville, Upson County, Georgia.

He attended public school in Upson County and attended Cunningham High School. He was a member of Peace Baptist Church.

Aldeen met Ms. Portia Sitgraves in the early 2000's. After winning over her heart, they were joined in holy matrimony on April 9, 2011. To provide for his family, he worked at Kenny Collision for many years. They took their vows seriously and remained faithful together through sickness and health. He loved his wife and family and would do anything for them.

During his leisure time, he enjoyed being outdoors. He loved doing yard work, fishing, bowling and playing pool and listening to his jazz music.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers , Isaac Tomlin, Lizzy Drain, Horace Tomlin, Felton Tomlin, Betty Warner and Barbara Moreland. On Monday, June 10, 2024, The Lord called him home to rest. His spirit took flight and returned to the heavenly father.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mrs. Portia Tomlin of Thomaston, GA; one son, Mr. Aldeen Chenard Morris of St. Petersburg, FL, two bonus children, Ms. Mary Miller of Thomaston, GA and Mr. Anthony Sims og Norcross, GA; two grandchildren, Chaz Akanni and Kaleb Adams; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Allie Kendall of Decatur, GA and Mrs. Mable Brown of Thomaston, GA; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends all who will miss him dearly.
