Autury (Audrey) Worthy Sullivan Parks, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025. She also was preceded in death by siblings, Mrs. Grace Zorn, Mrs. Laverne Zorn, Mrs. Gail Ferguson, Mr. James Clay, and Mr. John Clay. Autury received her early education in Thomaston, Georgia, and later earned her G.E.D. from Griffin Tech in 1995. Her journey of faith began at a young age when she joined Friendship Baptist Church. Autury enjoyed reading novels, sewing, cooking, and baking for her friends and family. On February 13, 1972, Audrey married Mr. Charlie Clarence Sullivan Jr., and together they shared 29 wonderful years. Their union was blessed with three sons: Yancey, Marcus, and Gavin Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan preceded her in death. Later in life, she found love again and married Mr. Robert Parks. Although no children were born from this union, their blended family brought companionship and joy to her life through her stepchildren, Kimberly (Clifford) Lyons of Detroit, Michigan, Robert Mondale Parks, Jr., of Macon, Georgia, and Lonessa (Jeffery) Harris of Macon, Georgia. Autury’s life was a testament to kindness, faith, and a deep love for her family. She will be forever cherished by her three sons, Mr. Yancy Sullivan of Macon, Georgia, Mr. Marcus Sullivan of Barnesville, Georgia, and Mr. Gavin Sullivan of Barnesville, Georgia. Her memory will also be honored by her many grandchildren, one of whom, Mr. Kenderis Sullivan, preceded her in death, as well as her great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a loving extended family, including her sisters-in-love, Mrs. Bonita (Stanley) Barrett of Sumter, South Carolina, Mrs. Charleen Mathis of Griffin, Georgia, and Mrs. Sheila Stanford of Suffort, Virginia, which preceded her in death. She also leaves her brothers-in-love, Mr. Perry (Joanne) Walker of Barnesville, Georgia, Mr. Stanley (Bonita) Barrett of Sumter, South Carolina, and Mr. James Parks of Thomaston, Georgia.
