Ida Belle Jordan Penamon, 71, peacefully transitioned on February 2, 2026, in Macon, Georgia. She was born on June 26, 1954; a daughter of the late Ida Mae Jordan and Dave "Pocket" Jordan. Ida was the wife to, David Penamon Jr. They shared a beautiful and secluded life together for over 30 years that was filled with immense love. Known for her spunky and feisty personality, she had a way of making everyone she met feel an immediate connection to her. Whenever she entered a room, she filled the space with laughter and her signature sense of sarcasm.
Over the course of her life, she worked in the textile industry and later became a waitress and a cook at several restaurant establishments in Barnesville, Georgia. In her early adulthood years, she was a member of Whites Chapel Church in Barnesville, Georgia.
Ida truly loved to cook and always made it a priority to ensure that everyone around her was well-fed and cared for. She cherished her many friends and was well-known for her engaging conversations regarding life, her favorite soap operas, and her late mother (Ida Mae Jordan) and son (James "Big Stuff" Jenkins Jr.).
She was predeceased by her son, James "Big Stuff" Jenkins Jr. Three sisters: Hildred Haygood, Willie Mae Scott and Ruby Jordan. Two brothers: Ted Jordan and Calvin "Onion" Jordan.
She leaves to cherish in her memory two sons: Michael Angelo Jenkins, Sr. (Krystal) of Winston, GA and Keven Bernard Jenkins of Griffin, GA. Two stepsons: Anthony "Dion" Penamon of Rex, GA and Travius "Luwon" Penamon of Culloden, GA. Four sisters: Mildred Haygood, Rose Ann Brantley, Patricia Harris and Eady Walton, all of Barnesville, GA. Twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who love her very much and will miss her dearly.
