Obituary For Kasha Denise Drake

Ms. Kasha Denise Drake was born on February 3, 1972, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, to the late Ms. Diane Drake and Mr. Kenneth Darden, Jr.

She attended public schools in the Thomaston-Upson School System and later earned her GED. At an early age, she joined Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she began her spiritual journey.

Kasha loved being surrounded by family and friends. She had a lively personality and enjoyed being the life of the party. Never one to hold back her thoughts, she spoke her mind with honesty and confidence. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother, and she especially loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren, affectionately known as “Lu Lu” and “June Bug.”

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Diane Drake and one sister, Kendra Searcy-Stinson.

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Lord called her name. She answered the call, and her spirit took flight, returning to the Heavenly Father. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her father, Mr. Kenneth Darden, Jr. of Thomaston, GA; four children, Jaqualan Drake, Jakari Daniel, Karlyus Drake all of Thomaston, GA and Iteriya Autumn Jones of Griffin, GA; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Ms. Mateesa Searcy of Atlanta, GA and Ms. Kenya Darden of Thomaston, GA; three brothers, Mr. Kenneth Lamar (Rosalyn “Angel”) Darden of Powder Springs, GA, Mr. Edwin Searcy of Thomaston, GA, and Mr. Kareen Darden of Thomaston, GA; one uncle, Mr. Walter Drake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Though her earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, and memories she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come.
