Michael Dickerson was born July 25, 1965 in Barnesville, Georgia to the late John Charles Dickerson and Betty Edge Dickerson. He was a devoted father, cherished grandfather, brother and dear friend to many.
Michael lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and unwavering generosity.
Michael sought Christ at an early age at West Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He attended Lamar County Comprehensive High School and graduated with the Class of 1983. He worked many jobs throughout his life. More than anything, he enjoyed helping people, he loved his family and friends, and he loved having a good time. The Dallas Cowboys held a special place in his heart.
On May 6, 2024, he departed his life and entered into eternal rest. Preceded in death by sister, Linda Diane Woods and brother, Charles Edward Dickerson.
Left to cherish his memory is a devoted family which includes his children, Courtland Michael (Kurby) Dickerson Sr., Spangdahlem Air Base, Wittlich, Germany; Chaundra Marshae' (Quinilly) Brownlee, Griffin, GA; Makendra Dickerson, Sandy Springs, GA; Mikesha Dickerson, Stockbridge, GA; and Magarias Foster, Barnesville, GA; grandchildren; Zurnia' Dickerson, Aaliyah Dickerson, Xavia Evans, Courtland Michael Dickerson, Jr. and Legend Jordan; Siblings, Anderson (Mary) Dickerson of Thomaston, GA; Betty Carol Few of Griffin, GA; Deborah Cornelius of Decatur, GA; Oscar James Dickerson of Montgomery, AL; Richard Dickerson of Atlanta, GA; Tyrome Dickerson of Barnesville, GA; and Tamesha (Tony) Cornelius of Canton, GA; extended family and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit.
Michael may have left this world, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
