Obituary For Minister Susie Parham Gant

Minister Susie Parham Gant was born on August 16, 1946, in Woodland, Talbot County, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Virginia Harvey Reviere and the late Mr. Walter Parham. She received her education in the public schools of Upson County and attended Worthy School. She later furthered her education by attending Flint Technical School.

In her adulthood, she married Mr. Odell Gant, who preceded her in death. To this union, two daughters were born, Shirley Grantling and Minister Rosa Cherry. To help provide for her family, Susie worked faithfully at Thomaston Mills.

Minister Susie gave her life to the Lord in 1999 and knew she had made the greatest decision of her life. In 2007, she became a member of Body of Christ Church under the leadership of Pastor Gloria Barnes. She ministered to many people throughout her life, including residents in nursing homes in her hometown of Thomaston, Georgia. After accepting Christ, she realized she had been called into the ministry. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and carrying out His will. Minister Susie was truly a God-fearing woman whose life was a blessing to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers and sisters, Bennie Reviere, Evangelist Sara Reviere, Rev. Charles (Barbara) Parham, Mary Parham, Rickey Parham, and Johnny Parham.

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, the Lord called His daughter from labor to reward. Her spirit took flight and returned to the Heavenly Father.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Grantling and Minister Rosa Cherry; four grandchildren, Mrs. Shamika (Cordarra) Akins, Mrs. Rhonda (Edward) Carter, Ms. Tomika Hall, and Mr. Adarian Cherry; eight great-grandchildren, Javontae Hall, Demarquez Hall, Markese Hall, Skylar Carter, Ace Hall, Ariyah Carter, Cordarion Akins and her special great-grandchild, Zykira Hall.

She is also survived by her siblings: Mrs. Mary Johnson, Mr. Frank Reviere, Mr. Robert Reviere, Mr. Stanley (Raynell) Parham, and Evangelist Robin (Walter) Cuff; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Mrs. Linda McCrary, Pastor Georgia Mae (Roy) Parks, and Mrs. Beatrice Reviere; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.
