Obituary For Mr. Anthony Harris

Mr. Anthony Harris, more affectionately known as “Tupac,” was born on September 12, 1970, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, to Ms. Joanne Durham and the late Mr. John Willis Harris. He was lovingly raised by his stepfather, Mr. Willie James Durham. He received his early education at M.G. Worthy School.

At an early age, Anthony joined Midway Baptist Church, where he worshipped alongside his family.

During his adult life, he was employed by Thomaston Mills as a machine operator. He was the proud father of four children and the loving grandfather of nine grandchildren.

During his leisure time, Anthony enjoyed spending time with his friends, his children, and especially his grandchildren. His love for family and the time he shared with those closest to him brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher James Durham.

On Friday, July 3, 2026, the Lord called his name. He answered the call, and his spirit took flight and returned to the Heavenly Father. He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends who loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ms. Joanne Durham of Thomaston, GA; four children, Ms. Jalissa Harris, Mr. Brian Foster, and Mrs. Dasha (Myron) Walker, all of Thomaston, GA, and Ms. Nykhia Chaney of Greenville, GA; nine beloved grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Laura (Gary) Williams of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Lue Ann (Ulysses) Kendrick and Ms. Helen Mitchell, both of Thomaston, GA, and Mrs. Mary (Anthony) Smith of Zebulon, GA; one brother, Mr. John Harris, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Ms. Carolyn Harris of Gay, GA; special friends, Mr. Jaqualen Willis, Mr. Buck Harris, Mr. Tray Harris, Mr. Dray Brice, Mr. Tremain Sullivan, Mr. Omar Traylor, and his best friend of forty years, Mr. Mark Allen; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Send flowers to the service of Mr. Anthony Harris
